On behalf of our client TA Appliances we are seeking a highly organized and proactive Inventory Planner Builders Division. Reporting to the VP Builder this role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys balancing multiple priorities and is committed to supporting effective inventory planning purchasing and supplier coordination.
The Inventory Planner Builders Division will help ensure the reliable supply of appliances required to support builder projects and day-to-day operational needs. This position combines forecasting purchasing inventory control administrative coordination and product knowledge to support the Builder Division Team.
Key Responsibilities
Review contracts to ensure they align with supply needs including disputing and negotiating pricing and product solutions where applicable.
Maintain and enhance vendor agreements and terms including negotiation for year-end planning.
Maintain price lists and ensure day-to-day pricing is available for fast-moving core products.
Use supplier information to help mitigate upcoming supply issues forecast project needs and secure inventory in a timely manner.
Place purchase orders and adjust required delivery dates in collaboration with the purchasing team.
Review upcoming deliveries daily to ensure inventory is available allocated and prioritized appropriately.
Manage product cancellations with the Purchase Coordinator and assist with invoice maintenance.
Maintain inventory levels in accordance with company fiscal policy and market needs.
Prepare reporting and data forecasting for management including determining appointment times for inbound goods.
Develop and implement flooring plans and enhance inventory management support systems processes and practices.
Run daily ordering reports to generate information required for purchase orders.
Input purchase orders and ensure they are updated accurately.
Adjust invoices and purchase orders to reflect cost and product changes.
Assist Account Managers with invoice mediation and product/order cancellations.
Actively review back-order products and discontinued goods.
Perform any reasonable task required by management.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in purchasing supply chain management or a related field.
3 or more years of related purchasing experience.
Strong written communication and verbal skills and demonstrated time management focus.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and be proactive.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to meet objectives in a fast paced changing environment.
Competence in Microsoft Office programs- advanced level excel skills.
Appliance and sales knowledge are considered major assets.
Additional knowledge of EPass Salesforce and Procore is considered an asset.
