Job Description

Principal responsibilities youll be entrusted with include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with sales traders to support clients assist with client requests conduct day-to-day activities which facilitate client trading

  • Allocate client trades to the proper accounts

  • Conduct research and obtain market data through Bloomberg Trading systems and internal databases

  • Maintain the groups online client-facing web portal

  • Design and implement front-office solutions to optimize trading operations

  • Assist in multiple marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research

  • Coordinate with various groups (middle office back office technology clients) in resolving technical and settlement issues in trading operations

  • Contribute towards the development of marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research


Job Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program

  • Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills excellent communication abilities and be adept at financial modeling and valuation

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Strong communication skills are mandatory as the job requires you to speak directly with clients

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others (both with internal and external stakeholders)

  • Highly-motivated detail-oriented and able to work independently in a proactive manner

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail is a MUST

  • Experience with Python SQL VBA and Bloomberg is a plus (requirement of these skills vary by desks)
