Job Summary

Tech Talent International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe. We currently have a role as a Intermediate Full-Stack Developer - JavaScript with our large consulting client working onsite at a major financial services client in the downtown Montreal area. This role can be either a long term contract or a permanent role.

Role: Intermediate Full-Stack Developer - JavaScript

Type: Permanent or Contract 37.5 hrs/week

Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite 2 days from home)

Salary: $75000 - $80000 9% bonus 3-5 weeks paid vacation RRSP contribution benefits sick/personal days

Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking a Intermediate Full-Stack Developer - JavaScriptto design develop and maintain business applications dashboards workflows and data-driven solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts and senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions using JavaScript SQL REST APIs ETL tools and low-code/no-code platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand business requirements identify appropriate technical solutions and provide mockups when required.
  • Design and implement solutions using low-code/no-code tools and platforms.
  • Develop widgets and dashboards using JavaScript within web-based dashboarding solutions.
  • Use ETL tools to collect transform and prepare data for downstream applications and reporting.
  • Develop SQL scripts and queries to prepare retrieve and manipulate data used by web dashboards.
  • Design BPMN processes using workflow tools.
  • Develop JavaScript functionality to automate API calls and create user forms.
  • Consume REST APIs to retrieve data and automate business processes and actions.
  • Test all developed components in accordance with the teams testing standards and strategy.
  • Provide production support including investigating troubleshooting and resolving application defects.
  • Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions to team members and support teams to facilitate the ongoing maintenance and evolution of solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Share technical knowledge development standards and best practices with team members.
  • Work independently on assigned projects while collaborating with senior developers through technical guidance and code reviews.
  • Support multiple short- to medium-term projects across different business lines throughout the year.
Required Skills
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript with an emphasis on scripting and application logic rather than traditional web development.
  • Experience consuming and integrating REST APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries and scripting.
  • Experience with Git version control.
  • Experience working with low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • TypeScript
  • BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
  • Experience with ETL tools.
  • Experience developing dashboards widgets or workflow-based applications.
  • Experience supporting applications in production environments.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a technically versatile developer with strong JavaScript SQL REST API and Git skills who is comfortable working with low-code/no-code platforms. This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys building lightweight business applications dashboards workflows and automation solutions rather than focusing exclusively on traditional front-end web development.
