Our client a prominent leader in the mining industry is seeking a seasoned Electrical Power Engineer with 7-10 years of experience in a comparable position. The company is expanding its team and requires your expertise.
Your experience you bring will include:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Expertise designing analyzing and implementing electrical power systems for at least five years
CAD software proficiency for electrical design
Knowledge of power system analysis applications like ETAP PSS/E or SKM
Knowledge of the NEC IEEE and IEC codes standards and laws that govern electrical power systems
Your responsibilities will include:
Create develop and test electrical power systems.
Using CAD software create schematics diagrams and layouts for electrical systems.
Use software instruments like ETAP PSS/E or SKM to carry out power system analysis and modeling.
For planned initiatives carry out cost-benefit evaluations and feasibility studies.
Working with project managers other engineers and clients will help to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Examine and accept the specifications drawings and calculations contained in the electrical design papers.
