Heres how aIntegrated Construction Technology Coordinator (BIM Coordinator) for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. within Ottawa contributes to our team:
- Builds virtual models from plans specifications and elevations with direct supervision.
- Collaborates with the project team on the development of construction site logistics models.
- Collaborates on the trade partner model coordination process and reports to the project management team as appropriate.
- Assists with model updates.
- Supports the project team in the creation and processing of RFIs.
- Promotes the use of virtual construction tools and processes to project staff.
- Shares new technologies with project teams and seeks to drive adoption of PCL technologies through operational processes.
- Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree diploma or 2-year certificate in a buildings-industry related discipline (e.g. architecture engineering and construction (AEC) civil architectural).
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability Status level.
- Previous experience with Revit is required.
- Some co-op or relevant experience in a construction environment preferred.
- Drafting and modeling experience.
- Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications is an asset.
- Working knowledge and training in 3D modeling software and the ability to create content in VDC software is an asset.
- Exposure to 4D scheduling software and planning tools is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret markups to construction drawings.
- Ability to participate in trade coordination meetings and understand trade partner deliverables and scope.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills high level of detail orientation and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
The estimated salary range for this role is $61115 - $79000 based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
