Instructor, IT Business Analyst (Casual)

Collaborating with and reporting to the Academic Chair School of IT & Natural Resources as a member of the faculty team you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students colleagues community partners and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.

Specific instructional areas may include but may not be limited to:

• Project Management
• Business Case Development
• Business Process Modeling
• Information Technology and Information System Essentials
• User Interface (UX) Design
• Use Case Creation
• Strategies for Seeking Employment
• Data Modeling
• Data Analysis and Presentation (Excel)
• Requirement elicitation and writing
• Change Management
• Facilitation Negotiation and Decision Making
• Quality Assurance Testing
• You will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

You will be required to teach students in classroom as well as virtually. You will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.

Education/Experience:

• Diploma or degree in Business Analysis or related field with a minimum of 3 years related work experience
• Excellent organization skills ability to manage competing priorities
• Communication Presentation and Business Writing skills
• An understanding of the project life cycle
• system development lifecycle and where business analysis fits within them
• Experience in requirement elicitation and technical writing.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills analytical ability and innovative thinking.

• Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.
