Lopportunité

Vous soutiendrez les projets HVDC en développant et en configurant des modèles de simulation à laide de RSCAD et Hypersim tout en contribuant aux activités de tests et de validation. Dans ce rôle vous participerez aux essais dacceptation en usine (Factory System Testing FST) contribuerez à lexécution et à la révision des scénarios dessai et collaborerez étroitement avec les équipes dingénierie afin daligner la portée la configuration et lexécution des tests.

Vous assurerez également le maintien de la documentation liée aux configurations de test aux procédures et aux résultats tout en participant à lamélioration continue des processus outils et méthodologies dessai. Grâce aux activités de simulation de validation et damélioration continue vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la vérification des performances des systèmes le maintien de la qualité des livraisons de projets et le développement de solutions de transport dénergie fiables et innovantes.

Comment vous contribuerez

  • Créer et configurer des modèles de simulation à laide de RSCAD et Hypersim pour des applications HVDC.
  • Soutenir les activités de tests liées aux projets contribuant à la validation des systèmes et à lassurance qualité.
  • Participer aux essais dacceptation en usine (FST) y compris lexécution le suivi et lanalyse des scénarios dessai.
  • Contribuer au développement et à lamélioration continue des processus outils et méthodologies de test.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes dingénierie afin daligner la portée la configuration et lexécution des essais.
  • Maintenir une documentation précise des configurations procédures et résultats de test.
  • Participer aux initiatives damélioration continue aux retours dexpérience et au partage des connaissances entre les projets.
  • Faire preuve dun engagement exemplaire envers la sécurité lintégrité et lexcellence opérationnelle.
  • Veiller à la conformité avec les procédures internes les normes de lentreprise et les réglementations applicables.

Votre profil

  • Détenir une autorisation de travail valide permettant de travailler pour Hitachi Energy aux Canada.
  • Baccalauréat ou maîtrise en génie électrique.
  • Expérience pratique en ingénierie électrique idéalement liée aux systèmes électriques de puissance ou aux équipements haute tension.
  • Connaissance des plateformes de simulation en temps réel telles que RTDS et OPAL-RT.
  • Une expérience avec RSCAD et/ou Hypersim constitue un atout important.
  • Grande attention aux détails et capacité à comprendre des systèmes complexes dans une perspective globale.
  • Capacité à travailler de façon autonome tout en collaborant efficacement au sein déquipes multidisciplinaires.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication en organisation et en résolution de problèmes.
  • Maîtrise de langlais requise; la maîtrise du français est également requise.
  • Disponibilité pour voyager jusquà 30 % du temps.

Simulation & Testing Engineer HVDC

The Opportunity

You will support HVDC projects by developing and configuring simulation models using RSCAD and Hypersim while contributing to testing and validation this role you will participate in Factory System Testing (FST) assist with the execution and review of test scenarios and collaborate closely with engineering teams to align testing scope setup and execution.

You will maintain test documentation including configurations procedures and results while supporting the continuous improvement of testing tools processes and methodologies. Through simulation testing and innovation you will play an important role in verifying system performance ensuring project quality and supporting the delivery of reliable power transmission solutions.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Create and configure simulation models using RSCAD and Hypersim for HVDC applications.
  • Support project testing activities contributing to system validation and quality assurance.
  • Participate in Factory System Testing (FST) including the execution monitoring and review of test scenarios.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of testing processes tools and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to align testing scope setup and execution plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test configurations procedures and results.

Your Background

  • Must have valid work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Practical experience in electrical engineering preferably involving power systems or high-voltage equipment.
  • Familiarity with real-time simulation platforms such as RTDS and OPAL-RT.
  • Experience with RSCAD and/or Hypersim is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand complex systems from a broader engineering perspective.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is also required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
