Tacten is seeking a professional energetic and forward-thinkingHSE Coordinator to support operations on our client site CNRL Albian in Fort McMurray AB.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a growing division within Tacten!
- Site - CNRL Albian
- Immediate Start Date
- Long-Term Maintenance - 14/14 rotation at 12 hours per day
- Flight provided from Alberta hubs Edmonton or Calgary

Responsibilities
- Supervise coordinate and manage all aspects of safety on project site(s) to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
- Actively promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks safety awareness initiatives and employee engagement.
- Deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees contractors and visitors focusing on safety protocols procedures and emergency preparedness.
- Investigate and document workplace incidents near-misses and safety violations identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable safety rules and regulations and leverage strong negotiation and reasoning skills to influence and guide others toward effective and acceptable safety solutions.
Requirements
- NCSO Certification required.
- OHS Certification would be an asset but not required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a field safety-related discipline.
- Heavy industrial operations experience is an asset.
- A proven track record in participation of safety management processes e.g. safety committees and working groups and heavy industrial auditing and inspection experience.
- You are an excellent planner organizer with refined interpersonal and communication skills and have demonstrated computer competency with Microsoft Office software.
