We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This internship offers hands-on experience across talent acquisition onboarding employee engagement HR administration and compliance while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Assist with job postings on various job boards social media platforms and recruitment channels.
  • Source and screen candidates for open positions.
  • Conduct initial phone screenings and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
  • Track candidate progress through the recruitment process using the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Maintain and update candidate databases and talent pipelines.
  • Support employer branding initiatives and recruitment marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in career fairs networking events and campus recruitment activities.
  • Assist in preparing recruitment reports and hiring metrics.
Onboarding & Employee Experience
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Prepare welcome packages and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions and new employee introductions.
  • Ensure employee files and required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assist in employee engagement and recognition initiatives.
HR Administration & Support
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Support HR projects policy updates and process improvements.
  • Assist with employee relations activities and administrative HR tasks.
  • Help prepare HR reports presentations and documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.
HR Systems & Data Management
  • Assist with maintaining employee information in HR systems and platforms.
  • Support data entry reporting and record management activities.
  • Gain exposure to HR technologies Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
Compliance & Best Practices
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee and candidate information.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Stay informed about current HR trends recruitment strategies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Required
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology or a related field.
  • Strong interest in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Preferred / Good to Have
  • Previous internship co-op volunteer or administrative experience in HR or recruitment.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HR software.
  • Knowledge of Canadian employment standards and HR practices.
  • Progress toward CHRP designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience with social media recruiting and employer branding initiatives.
