Job Summary
We are currently seeking experienced Hoist Operators to join our team at Levack Mine. As a direct employee with Magna Mining employees on these fixed term contracts are eligible for benefits and RRSP contributions during the fixed term period.
Responsibilities:
- Operate hoist to ensure the safe and efficient movement of materials and personnel.
- Perform pre-operational and routine inspections of hoisting equipment.
- Ensure all equipment is safe operational and compliant with Ontario mining regulations and safety standards before use.
- Review maintain and accurately complete hoist logs and inspection records.
- Follow all safety regulations site procedures and approved signaling methods.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors crew members and other stakeholders.
- Identify report and document equipment malfunctions defects or safety hazards.
- Monitor equipment for wear damage and compliance with safety requirements.
- Maintain clean organized and safe work areas around hoist equipment.
Qualifications: Formal Education Certifications or Equivalents
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner - Common Core
Work Experience: Nature & Length
- Minimum of 6 months of experience.
