Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the environmental and regulatory aspects of complex highway and alternative delivery projects from planning through construction.
- Manage environmental assessments approvals and mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with federal provincial and municipal requirements.
- Provide expert advice on environmental regulations standards and emerging issues to support timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Oversee environmental consultants including procurement contract administration project scheduling budget management and deliverables.
- Review technical submissions and ensure project requirements meet regulatory and departmental standards.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators Indigenous communities government partners municipalities and other stakeholders through comprehensive consultation and engagement efforts.
- Negotiate and coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure approvals and resolve complex environmental issues.
- Manage the Alberta Wildlife Watch Program an animal-vehicle collision safety program.
