Gain valuable teaching experience!Oxford Learning Kerrisdaleiscurrently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre for thecurrent school year (2026-2027).If you love working with students enjoy teaching language skills and want to help others build their academic confidence this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading writing math and French and/or withHigh Schoolstudents inmath (through Calculus) physics chemistry biology and English. Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods allowing you to focus on what you do best teaching!

Position Requirements

  • Summer: 2-4 weekdays - we are open 9am-6pm
  • School year: 2-4 weekdays 3:30pm - 6:30pmand possible Saturday mornings

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position.

Vulnerable sector is mandatory.

We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • University students with tutoring experience will be considered
  • Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to high school curriculum

Experience:

  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students understanding
  • The ability to teach French is also highly desired
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities:

As a teacher you will:

  • Teach up to 3 students at a time
  • (Teach up to 3 students at a time in Elementary grades or up to 2 students at a time in Grades9 - 12)
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)
