Job Summary
Hardware Designer General Function
The Hardware Designer will contribute to the development of new products and related engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement electronic circuits for new products
- Document design work and technical specifications
- Participate in electronic and mechanical design reviews
- Collaborate with the low-level software team on hardware bring-up and battery management algorithms
- Develop test plans to ensure product quality in production
- Work with external development partners
- Support product certification activities
- Ensure smooth transfer of new products to production
- Collaborate with production teams on product maintenance
- Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in circuit design and embedded systems development
Technical Skills
- Experience with electronic design tools (Altium considered an asset)
- Strong interest in new technologies
- Project management experience is an asset
