Grinder (8 Hours)

1. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

   The Plastic Grinder is responsible to count scrap to code to record and to grind.

2. QUALIFICATIONS

   2. Demonstrated ability to learn/use software such as SAP Shoplogix Microsoft office
   3. Ability to count
   4. Ability to learn and understand the manufacturing specifications
   5. Have adequate written and verbal communication skills
   6. Must have a safety attitude and mindset.

3. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
   1. Quality
      1. Report any unsafe conditions/situations immediately to the QPT
      2. Collect scrap from each injection molding machine twice a day. Ensures proper separation of different resin type and white regrind vs color and identify with label
      3. Determine and Code each piece of scrap and record on the daily scrap report
      4. Review the report with Supervisors and sign
      5. Enter scrap in SAP and Shoplogix
      6. Record pounds grinded by the different resin types and submits at the end of the shift. Ensures all pounds grinded from blue skid are recorded on the back of the sheet
      7. If required remove gaskets from lid and handles from pails. Removed handles are not supposed to be reused.
      8. Bring forward any continuous improvement opportunities to the QPT Quality Manager and/or Plant Manager
      9. Provide a shift pass down report detailing any issues things to look for and recap of the three highest collected scrap. Report is provided to the QPT.

      10. Any other duties as requested by the QPT and assist QCI if needed

   2. Safety
      1. Report any health and safety issues or opportunity for improvement in the plant.
         1. Builds a safety culture within the department encourages safety issues and/or enhancements to be brought forward
         2. Ensures assigned safety tasks are completed by target date
         3. Addresses asset safety concerns in sustained countermeasures in a timely manner
         4. Responsible to bring forward initiatives to improve/enhance asset safety
            
   3. Continuous Improvement
      1. Reduce the discrepancy in scrap count.
      2. Responsible to bring forward with continuous improvement initiatives
         
   4. Measuring Success
      1. No accumulation of scrap in the grinding area
      2. Having the right count of scrap per shift
      3. Enter accuracy into various software

Please note that this role is on day shift which is from 6am to 2pm and working days are Monday to Friday.

This role is located in Langley BC.

Pay:

The range for this position is $17.85 20.55 per hour. Exact salary offered will depend on candidates experience skills qualifications and work location.
