Job Summary
SUPERVISOR: GRAIN LOGISTICS SUPERVISOR
WAGE: $60000.00 -$80000.00
GENERALPURPOSE:
The GrainAssistant provides logistic and administrative support for the ArmstrongDivision grain operations by coordinating shipments maintaining schedulesmanaging grain inventory levels and ensures consistent grain quality. Theincumbent assists in identifying and recommending improvements to departmentpolicies and procedures.
Assistwith troubleshooting grain issues to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Createtickets for truck shipments send advisements to carriers and suppliers
Assistwith the coordination of truck movement to maintain adequate grain inventorylevels and ensure consistent grain quality
Createpurchase orders to allocate freight for truck and grain shipments
Ensureall shipments are completed accurately and review documents from accountspayable for processing
Assignsloads to appropriate grain contracts
Createand maintain delivery schedules for truck deliveries for the grain department
Liaisewith internal and external customers and carriers delivering excellentcustomer service
Assistwith the daily reconciliation of the Companys grain position
Assistswith byproduct inventory tracking and updating the byproducts schedule asrequired
Assistsand recommends improvements in department policies and procedures
Ensurethat all the by-products for both theArmstrong and Chilliwack divisions are moved in an efficient and timely mannerto prevent a forced plant shutdown
Assistwith producing the weekly shipping schedule for byproducts send advisements tocarriers and suppliers with their schedules and update all records and sendnotifications when changes are made
Adjustwork schedule to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines
Providerelief coverage for Grain Logistics Supervisor as required
FollowGood Manufacturing Practices (GMPS) while performing job duties and tasks
Responsiblefor compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety requirementsand company safety standards
Performall other work-related tasks assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Experiencein grain
Abilityto work both independently and with a team
Advancedcomputer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsexperience with D365 an asset
Strongwork ethic with a high level of trust and integrity
Excellentproblem-solving time management and organizational skills and demonstratedinitiative
Abilityto manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strongattention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
Self-motivatedteam player with above average interpersonal communication and customerservice skills
Abilityto create and maintain trusted internal and external business relationships.
