Educational Requirements
nrolment in year two or higher in the PhD program in the Department of English Language and Literature.
Qualifications:
In this position you will assist a faculty member in delivering the courses they have been assigned for the term. Responsibilities may be restricted to one course or may encompass more courses depending on the needs of the instructor and interest of the GA. Completion of a GA position is considered to be preparatory for independent teaching.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities associated with the position may vary depending on the needs of the instructor the interest of the GA and the nature of the course or courses. Tasks may include any of the following:
Attending lectures or assisting with class activities if the position is in-person.
Reading course material.
Grading student work.
Answering student questions/providing feedback online or in in-person conferences.
Giving guest lectures or holding tutorials.
Proctoring and marking exams.
Course Specific Requirements:
Specific responsibilities and task times will be outlined in the TA Agreement distributed in the first week of the position.
