GOC-OCM Strategy & Communications Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced OCM Strategy & Communications Consultant with strong Government of Canada (GoC) and Department of National Defence (DND) experience to support organizational change management initiatives communications strategy development and communications product creation.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in change management stakeholder communications and executive-level presentation development with strong proficiency in PowerPoint and communications asset creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies communication plans and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Create high-quality communication products including:
  • Executive presentations
  • PowerPoint decks
  • Emails and newsletters
  • FAQs and intranet content
  • Communication toolkits and briefing materials
• Collaborate with project teams leadership and stakeholders to align messaging and communication objectives.
• Facilitate workshops meetings and presentations to communicate project impacts benefits and adoption strategies.
• Monitor stakeholder feedback organizational readiness and adoption progress adjusting communication approaches as needed.
• Support training coordination and development of training-related communication materials.
• Track and report on communication and change management effectiveness.
• Contribute to major deliverables through content development slide design and project coordination activities.
• Promote change management best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) communications or related consulting roles.
• Recent experience supporting Government of Canada (GoC) and/or Department of National Defence initiatives.
• Strong expertise in communications strategy development and communications product creation.
• Advanced PowerPoint and presentation development skills.
• Experience developing executive-level communication and briefing materials.
• Strong stakeholder engagement facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale transformation or modernization programs.
• Knowledge of Government of Canada communication standards and processes.
• Experience with training coordination and adoption initiatives.
• Active Government security clearance is considered an asset.
