Context
Geotechnical Designers needed for Transit Projects in Ontario
Missions/Main Duties
Technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and . 153/04 requirements
Technical services related to Excess Soil Management to . 406/19 requirements
Design foundations retaining structures and earthworks
Conduct site investigations and soil sampling
Analyze soil rock and groundwater conditions
Perform geotechnical analysis and interpret data
Experience in completing peer reviews of technical documents and reports
Draw on technical skills and expertise to design install and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems
Working familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Ontario Regulation 406/19
Scope & Report preparation Review and evaluate the technical work of other staff
Maintain excellent client relationships in various industries
Profile/Skills
10 years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil
. or license in Ontario and QPESA designation required
University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering Environmental Science Hydrogeology or Geology
Highly technical abilities in environmental site assessment and remediation design combined with a mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of risk assessment/remediation systems/techniques
Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04 as amended (including the filing of Record of Site Condition)
Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19 as amended
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as advanced technical writing abilities
Ability to problem solve troubleshoot and put forth creative solutions
