Our client is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to support geotechnical investigations analysis design and engineering projects across civil infrastructure and construction developments. The successful candidate will assess soil and subsurface conditions and provide practical engineering recommendations for foundations earthworks slopes retaining structures and other geotechnical applications.

• Plan and oversee geotechnical investigations site assessments and subsurface exploration.
• Analyze soil and rock properties groundwater conditions and site constraints.
• Perform geotechnical calculations and engineering analyses for foundations slopes excavations and retaining systems.
• Prepare geotechnical reports technical specifications drawings and recommendations.
• Provide engineering input for foundations earthworks pavement systems and settlement analysis.
• Review laboratory and field testing results and interpret geotechnical data.
• Coordinate with civil structural environmental and construction teams.
• Support project planning cost estimates technical proposals and construction activities.
• Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure work complies with applicable Canadian standards codes health and safety requirements and project specifications.

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics foundation engineering slope stability and earthworks.
• Experience with geotechnical investigation and testing methods.
• Ability to interpret geotechnical and laboratory data.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software such as GeoStudio PLAXIS gINT/OpenGround AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Strong technical report-writing and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Canadian engineering standards and practices is an asset.
