This fleet based in Regina is available to support geotechnical and geo-characterization projects across the province offering auger drilling air rotary drilling core drilling sampling instrumentation installations vane shear testing cone penetration testing and more.



Drill Assistant:

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.
  • Handle drill rods and casing core tubes and core samples.
  • Maintain and organize appropriate inventory levels of necessary materials supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
  • Assist the Driller client and other team members where required.
  • Regular and repetitive lifts of 50-90 lbs.


Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 or 3 Drivers Licence.
  • Have 1-3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset.
  • Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment an asset.
  • Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
  • Have experience working in the field in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.


Compensation

$23.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
