Job Summary

The opportunity:The General Manageris responsible forsuccessfully managing the ongoing daily operations of the Health and Fitness Centre by ensuring service excellence throughout the facility and adherence to all operational policies and this role you will: Demonstratestrong supportand commitment to the mission and core values of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and the YMCA in supportand commitment to serving the membership facilityusersand all program participants of the YMCA of Simcoe/ and manage Centre health by utilizing a variety of management tools related to Key Performance and manage annual Centre budgets in conjunction with theRegional GeneralManagerflagging significant variances ina the annual budget as approved by the Board of that the strategic goals of the Association are met through active participation in leadershipcircle regional groups and product groups as high levelof service delivery by:Setting annual sales and retention targetsMonitoring service and program quality by observing YMCA Best Practices and The Y Way Experience and implementing Health and Fitness programs that stimulate member growth and responding strategically to membership current working knowledge of industry trends on a localregionaland national and respond appropriately to community train schedule coach and evaluate an exceptional Senior Staff ongoing feedback and support to all Centre staffin order tomaintaina strong culture of trustunityand that the facility is clean and well maintained as per YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka andThe Y Way Experience that the Centreis in compliance withthe guidelines and policies of all regulatory bodies. Document a local Centre emergency plan and ensure that all staff are trained and ready to a working knowledge of all YMCA software to help make strategic decisions based on the mostappropriate acustomerfacingpresence during dayeveningand weekend with members and participants on a regular basis tomaintainaccessibility and foster leadership by walking arounddemonstratedby on the floor leadership in more than one program / service area as well as being able to support all staff to deal with all situations that present an efficient flow of information both internally and externally to ensure that staff members committeesdonorsand the community are well informed.
