Position Summary:

Reporting to the Quality Supervisor the incumbent will be responsible for purchasing maintaining calibrating and organizing all gauges used at Arrow Off- Road Guelph.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all gauges are calibrated and labelled.
  • Responsible for updating all gauges in the gauge list (Visual software)
  • Responsible for repairing a variety of gauges and equipment.
  • Responsible for performing and coordinating GR&R on gauges (Minitab ANOVA preferred).
  • Responsible for obtaining quotes and purchasing new and replacement gauges.
  • Work to improve Quality Delivery and Cost in accordance with the purchasing of gauges.
  • Support AQP for the development of the gauge list for all operations both for production and new launches.
  • Responsible for maintaining spare gauges and material to ensure production is supported.
  • Support production in the Verification and Certification in accordance with Quality Systems (GP12).
  • Maintain and update Operator Check sheets (ITP SPC FPV) for product in production.
  • Ensure product compliance to specification by ensuring relevant verification has occurred.
  • Support Quality and Engineering in the analysis of NCRs (Non-conformances) and supplier-initiated non- conformances to identify and resolve trends.
  • Ensure alignment between product verification and testing with supplier and manufacturing floor.
  • Responsible for maintaining and quick disposition of supplier NCMs.
  • Will support the Internal audit process by assisting in performing annual audits.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
  • All other duties as requested by your supervisor.

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or Quality Gauge maintenance capacity.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Proficient in Inspection Methods (Measurement & Evaluation) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) blueprint reading statistical Analysis (SPC).
  • Working knowledge of CMM operation and programming in PC DIMAS Not required; would be an asset.
  • Experience in a CNC machining (turning and milling) manufacturing environment with knowledge of casting forgings and fabrications would be an asset.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with a process mindset to spot variability.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative - an independent self-starter.
  • Ability to create and execute project plans through to completion.
  • Customer-focused understands deadlines works with internal and external customers.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solution and problem-solving oriented. Able to manage multiple projects.
  • Superior listening skills exceptional analytical and communication skills.

Equipment/ Tools/ Technology Used:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel Word Outlook etc.)

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which may involve standing walking and moving around the production area for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment or materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional work in confined spaces or elevated platforms when inspecting or maintaining equipment.
  • The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility with significant time spent on the production floor.
  • The environment may include exposure to paint fumes solvents and other chemicals requiring adherence to safety protocols.
