Job Description
The Government of Alberta is seeking 17 Senior Front End Designers to support the Digital Design & Delivery Division (3D) on service innovation digital transformation and modernization projects across multiple ministries.
The successful candidates will collaborate with Agile cross-functional teams to design user-centered digital services that improve the experience of Albertans. Responsibilities include creating UX artifacts conducting design research developing accessible interfaces and delivering production-ready design specifications aligned with Government of Alberta standards.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Design user-centered digital experiences for web and other digital channels.
Create UX deliverables including:
User scenarios
Storyboards
User flows
Wireframes
Interactive prototypes
High-fidelity mockups
Produce build-ready design specifications and design documentation.
Develop and maintain design systems component libraries and style guides.
Conduct usability testing and analyze user feedback.
Recommend design improvements based on research and evidence.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG).
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning reviews retrospectives and demos.
Collaborate with product owners developers researchers and business stakeholders.
Support digital transformation and service modernization initiatives.
Mandatory Requirements
Conflict of Interest Attestation.
2 years experience as a Front End Designer designing digital services.
2 years developing UX artifacts:
User scenarios
Storyboards
Wireframes
User flows
Interactive prototypes
2 years working within Agile cross-functional product teams.
