Front Desk Manager

• Support the Front Office by overseeing daily operations and acting as Manager on Duty.
• Address guest issues proactively and assist or act as an alternate for service recovery initiatives.
• Act as the main point of contact for handling and reporting client-related issues including reservations cancellations and special requests.
• Responsible for front office staff schedules staffing and time-off requests.
• Evaluate performance and provide feedback to front office staff identifying areas for improvement and development opportunities.
• Mentor and hold front office staff accountable.
• Provide training and support when needed.
• Support the Front Desk operations overall by assisting with guest inquiries reservations check-ins/check-outs and other typical day-to-day tasks.
  
  

• 1-2 years of management or supervisor experience at the front desk in a hotel or in other hospitality establishments.
• Familiarity with Opera or any other property management system is beneficial.
• A go-getter whos not afraid to be hands-on. Working weekends and even the odd evening is to be expected in this role.
• A tech whiz - theres a lot of technology and hospitality software systems involved.

Of course there are a plethora of other administrative items and the typical day-to-day operations that youll be responsible for but those are pretty hard to sum up in a job ad.
