About The Opportunity

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is seeking a commercially driven leader to take ownership of our Americas real estate portfolio as Real Estate & Lease Administration this high-impact role youll shape leasing strategy lead negotiations and ensure operational excellence across 43 locations spanning Canada the US and Mexico. Partnering with senior leadership youll influence expansion plans and optimize occupancy costs while leading a high-performing team. This is a unique opportunity to directly support growth and transformation across a multi-brand organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute leasing strategy across retail corporate and support locations in the Americas
  • Lead negotiations for new leases renewals terminations assignments and subleases
  • Manage lease expiry schedules and proactively drive advantageous timing decisions
  • Analyze market conditions competitor footprints and rental trends to inform portfolio decisions
  • Identify and deliver occupancy cost savings and portfolio optimization initiatives
  • Manage relationships with brokers legal counsel and real estate advisors
  • Support M&A activity including property due diligence and lease integration planning
  • Oversee full lease administration lifecycle including data accuracy and compliance obligations
  • Administer rent payments invoice approvals reconciliations and landlord communications
  • Maintain and enhance ProLease as the system of record for lease data and reporting
  • Produce portfolio reporting including rent rolls lease expiries and financial summaries
  • Partner with Finance on IFRS 16/ASC 842 accounting accruals and month-end processes
  • Lead and develop the Real Estate & Lease Administration team
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across brands finance legal and executive leadership
  • Act as the primary advisor on real estate matters providing insights and recommendations
  • Represent FCTG in negotiations with landlords developers and external partners
  • Contribute to regional finance and risk initiatives
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5 years in commercial real estate lease administration or corporate real estate
  • 2 years in a leadership or senior individual contributor role
  • Proven experience negotiating commercial leases in Canadian and/or US markets
  • Experience managing multi-site portfolios in complex or multi-brand organizations
  • Hands-on experience with lease management systems (ProLease preferred)
  • Strong understanding of IFRS 16 / ASC 842 lease accounting
  • Retail or multi-location consumer brand experience preferred
  • Exposure to M&A property due diligence considered an asset
  • Strong financial acumen including CAM reconciliations and occupancy cost analysis
  • High attention to detail with strong data management capabilities
  • Advanced Excel and lease reporting skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills

For this position we anticipate offering an annual salary of $90000 -$100000. Base salary is dependent on relevant factors including experience geographic location and job requirements.
