Job Summary
We are hiring a Bulk and Flatbed Truck Driver on behalf of our client in Sudbury Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting bulk commodities and flatbed freight safely and efficiently with most travel involving highway driving.
This position requires a safety-focused professional who is comfortable performing physical duties securing loads operating tarp systems and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport bulk commodities and flatbed freight to designated destinations.
- Operate trucks and trailer combinations on highways and local roads as required.
- Secure loads properly using straps chains tarps and other load-securing equipment.
- Perform physical duties including climbing ladders cranking tarps and securing cargo.
- Inspect vehicles trailers and loads to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate professionally with customers and maintain positive working relationships.
- Complete delivery paperwork shipping documents and other required records accurately.
- Follow all applicable transportation regulations and company safety procedures.
- Work independently while ensuring timely and reliable deliveries.
- Valid Class AZ drivers licence in good standing.
- Clean driving record and responsible driving history.
- Experience operating flatbed trailers bulk trucks or Long Combination Vehicles (LCVs) is preferred.
- Knowledge of load securement procedures including the use of straps chains and tarps.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks associated with bulk and flatbed transportation.
- Strong safety awareness and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements Valid Ontario AZ or DZ Drivers Licence Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience Clean Drivers Abstract and valid CVOR Previous freight/dock-to-dock delivery experience preferred Good English communication skills Strong knowledge of road safety and transportation regulations Reliable punctual and safety-focused Ability to safely handle and secure freight Ability to work independently and follow dispatch instructions
