Job Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:
- Immediate open position
- $40.00 - $48.20 per hour
- Licensed Millwright (443A) required
- Minimum five (5) years of mechanical maintenance and repair experience
- Dualticketed Millwright/Electrician considered an asset
- Grade 12 English and Math or equivalent
- Previous experience in facilities or building maintenance is an asset
- Strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical layouts building construction drawings and schematics
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work on the production floor and provide support over the phone
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and extended hours as required
- Demonstrated contributions to improvements in safety ergonomics cost reduction quality and process stability
MAIN DUTIES:
- Inspect maintain and repair building envelope utilities services infrastructure and related monitoring devices
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC plumbing dock and door systems lighting and other facilityrelated equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules and procedures
- Accurately complete work orders inspections reports and associated documentation
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors as required
- Coordinate facilities work with production and other internal departments to minimize disruption
- Maintain 5S standards including a clean organized and safe work environment
- Respond to breakdowns and facility-related issues in a timely manner
- Coordinate and oversee outside contractors when required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records inspections and work orders
- Follow all safety policies procedures and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for continuous improvement implementation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
