Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Be able to set up troubleshoot and make minor changes to machines.
- Monitor quality / complete quality reports.
- Process incoming and in-house materials as required.
- Organize and maintain the extrusion work area including storage areas for staged and surplus product waiting to be ground.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area including the extruder machines and ancillary equipment.
- Material handling.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment through compliance to H & S policies.
- Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices.
Skills and Requirements:
- Sound troubleshooting skills with a strong mechanical background.
- Should have or be willing to learn knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of machines and tools including designs uses repairs and maintenance.
- Must be a certified forklift operator or be willing and able to achieve certification.
- An understanding of the basic concepts of injection molding plastics processing.
- Comfortable working in a fast pace environment.
- Self-motivated; ability to work without supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with attention to details.
- Shift flexibility with the ability to work overtime is a requirement ability to work both continental (12 hr) and conventional (8 hr) shifts if required.
