Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor LongRange Planning the EngineerinTraining (EIT) Long Range Planning is responsible for developing and optimizing mine plans at Green Hills Operations. The role supports the mineplanning function across mid and longterm horizons and will involve scheduling pit design KPI analysis economic evaluations and data-management. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to make a significant impact on the business.

In this role you will:
Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Participate in mine scheduling and design across a wide range of planning horizons including pit spoil haulage and closure design while considering sustainable development
Perform iterative KPI analysis and reconciliation to drive continuous improvement and support robust decision making
Carry out economic evaluations to support decisions (mineplan scenarios equipment purchases operational strategies etc.)
Assist in developing mine permit applications and amendments ensuring mine plans comply with permit requirements
Contribute to the development of annual reserves and resources reporting
Maintain planning data and support datamanagement best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one year of experience in mine planning is preferred
EngineerinTraining (EIT) pursuing Professional Engineer (.) designation with EGBC or equivalent
Experience with minescheduling software (e.g. XPAC Solutions) and minedesign software (e.g. Minesight 3D)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent
Salary range: 91 300 - 126800 CAD/ year
For applicants registered as an EIT or GIT annual base salary will be determined by EVRs formal progression matrix based on verified relevant years of experience
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience skills and competencies and considers internal equity.
