Max INC Rate: $80.80/
Max T4 Rate: $66.78/
Experience and Role Accountabilities
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
- Develop safe engineering solutions by applying initiative and judgment to activities such as:
- Developing designs
- Analyzing and resolving problems
- Interpreting engineering specifications
- Supporting low- to medium-complexity assignments for projects and/or operations
- Assist project or operations management in achieving safety cost quality and schedule objectives by:
- Proposing changes to plans and estimated costs
- Recommending payment for contractor-completed work
- Preparing progress reports
- Coordinating work schedules
- Performing similar project support tasks
- Participate in BC Hydros engineering practice by:
- Conducting independent studies and analyses
- Exercising professional judgment in selecting and interpreting information
- Recommending safe engineering designs
- Making decisions related to standard engineering methods and designs
- Supporting compliance with BC Hydro engineering standards
- Perform periodic independent tasks including on-site construction quality control and monitoring to ensure compliance with approved designs.
- Collaborate with BC Hydros senior engineering team when engineering problems are difficult complex or unusual to support effective management of engineering risk.
Education
- University degree in Applied Science or Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (.) or Professional Geoscientist (.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or registered in another jurisdiction and eligible for registration with Engineers & Geoscientists BC.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standards.
- Ability to use standard industry design and analysis software.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including:
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and process SAP maintenance activities including SA01/SA02 work orders and change requests.
- Support execution and monitoring of annual and in-year maintenance plans.
- Assist with Request for Support (RFS) coordination maintenance tracking schedule adherence and completion monitoring.
- Support phase control Final Due Date (FDD) and maintenance compliance activities.
- Assist with maintenance reporting data validation and program status updates.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders including SFO AIS Maintenance Engineering Scheduling and PCM groups.
- Support standing order administration fiscal year tracking and SAP stabilization initiatives.
- Maintain maintenance-related records documentation and communications.
- Identify operational issues process gaps and continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong organizational communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Experience with SAP maintenance planning utility operations asset management or infrastructure programs is considered an asset.
