As ENG/EFP Camera Operator you will operate portable mobile cameras and related peripherals to compose shots and visual effects via original framing and camera so doing you must meet and anticipate the productions desired objectives as well as artistic dramatic and other intentions. You will also co-ordinate the setup and checking of equipment under your control as well as execute the transfer of all material gathered.

Please note that you will be required to work a variety of weekday and weekend shifts. This is an on call position.

This role requires full-time on-site presence.

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

Qualifications:

• College diploma in TV production and post-production techniques or other relevant field.
• Five (5) years related experience doing production and/or camera work for programs news and/or remote broadcasts.

Skills:

• Solid non-linear editing experience (Avid is an asset).
• Knowledge of editing audio lighting and camera work as well as computers.
• Excellent knowledge and command of spoken and written French.
• Good knowledge of English is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Creativity and initiative.
• Ability to make quality decisions quickly and independently.
• Knowledge of and interest in current events in the Quebec region.
• Digital production experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of how to operate Presentation Centre equipment is an asset.
• Valid drivers licence (Class 5) as well as a driving record that meets the minimum requirements of CBC/Radio-Canadas insurance company.
