Electronics Designer

This is a great opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team that provides leading-edge life-saving products to clients around the & Responsibilities: Working within assigned technical roles key duties relationships responsibilities and objectives will include:Performing the Project Technical Lead role on development projects as assignedAccountability for technical task completion and achievement of design objectivesRepresenting the company during customer facing technical discussions and interactionsAnalyzing and interpreting product specifications schematics and requirementsSolving technical problemsDesigning and building electronic subsystems circuit card assemblies and interfacesInterfacing with external clients and vendors on project matters Assisting on design of analog and digital circuits including embedded microcontrollers Designing and building cabling and interconnection systems Testing and troubleshooting electronic systems and writing test reports Testing firmware and software and writing test reports Documenting designs and releasing documentsHandling obsolete component issuesSourcing components and generating purchase order requestsAnalyzing product failures and initiating corrective actionsEstimating effort required for various tasksMaintaining lab facilitiesOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Electronics engineering degree or equivalent1-3 years electronics experience in an electronics engineering roleGood writing and verbal communication skills (English)Proficiency with lab instrumentation such as mixed signal oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzersGood electronics testing and troubleshooting abilities Proficiency in electronics assembly techniques including SMT (4 years)4 years analogue and digital design test and measurement experience4 years experience with electronics supply chain issues and mitigation methodsEligibility for a Canadian security clearance to the level of SecretDesirable Training and Experience:Training and experience with IPC soldering standardsTrained and experienced on OrCad & PCB layoutExperience with ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4 and related circuitsExperience with low power wearable electronic circuitryExperience with EMI/EMC testing and shielding techniquesExperience with MIL STD 810 and MIL STD 461 testing and complianceGood understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and automationGood hardware and software testing and troubleshooting abilitiesSoftware programming (C C# Java NI Python)Low power mobile microcontroller systemsMechanical assembly and tools operationExperience with adhesives and waterproofing of electronicsDocumentation writing specifications design descriptions work instructionsProcess documentation and software (ECRs Innovator CARs)Experience with MS Office software
