EXP is searching for anElectrical Project Managerto join our Mechanical/Electrical team in our Hamilton ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Reports to the Mechanical/Electrical Manager or Project Manager with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision on projects from start to completion.
• Contributes to preparation of project proposals and other business development efforts.
• Able to lead and mentor design staff on all aspects of their work.
• Responsible for meeting EXPs engineering quality standards on assigned projects.
• Oversees development of design concepts and ensures proper application and execution.
• Reviews designers work regarding specifications reports code application submittal review equipment selection deliverables and drawings.
• Responsible for applying EXPs risk management practices to all projects.
• Leads the design team to produce schematic design design development tender and construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.
• Prepares studies and reports on electrical system project work.
• Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
• Contributes to revisions of company design standards and master specifications.
• Evaluates value engineering (cost saving) items with respect to the associated risk.

What your experience looks like

• The ideal candidate will have 5- years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field with a preferred focus in building consulting engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
• Registered Professional Engineer is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Project etc.) products and electrical design software.
• AutoCAD experience required and REVIT MEP proficiency desired.

The salary range for this role is between$80K - $120K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
