Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

Currently we have an opening for an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator. The EHS Coordinator is responsible for promoting continuous improvement in an area of expertise within Environment Health and Safety to improve performance and/or develop EHS as a business advantage. This role is the primary point of contact for analytical and performance measurement data and for health & safety leading and lagging indicators.

What you will be doing

• Supportthe revisions of the organizations environmentalhealthand safety procedures and forms.

• May support studies audits and investigations to ensure compliance with government safety and health lawsstandardsand regulations.

• Support the communication for supervisors in the incident management process.

• Promotes safety-conscious work performance and training programs.

• Ensuring adherence to the EHS Act and keeping up-to-date records in Sandviks database.

• Providing recommendations for revisions to policies and procedures as required to reflect changes in legislation legalrequirementsand/or business requirements.

• Assistingand coordinating the upkeep and document control process.

• Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring along

• Post-Secondary education in a related area of study (Occupational Health& SafetyEnvironmental orother)is an asset but notrequired

• Knowledge of applicable EHS legislation.

• Knowledgeindata management systems.

• Skilledin collectingcombiningand transforming raw data from multiple sources (SQL database SharePoint Libraries excel/CSV files).

• Experience inreportingand analytics capacityas well as inproducing high-quality data driven deliverables.

• Strong skills in database querying with Power Query in Microsoft Excel/Power BI and data management applications.

• Knowledge and experience with business intelligence tools/relational database applications.

• Demonstrated experience with policy development training development and roll out.

• Knowledge in ISO standards 14001 and 45001 and requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.

• Detail-oriented withgood timemanagement and organizational skills.

• Computer literacy andproficiencywith Microsoft Office.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• French English bilingualproficiencyan asset (both spoken and written).

• Valid drivers license.

• Valid Passport
