Dynamics 365 Azure Developer

The Dynamics 365 / Cloud Developer is a hands-on technical delivery professional responsible for developing configuring and integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 Power Platform Dataverse and Azure-based solutions. Working closely with the Solution Architect you will translate approved solution designs into secure scalable and maintainable technical components including application functionality APIs integrations workflows and data migration processes. You will support the full delivery lifecycle from technical development and integration through testing deployment production stabilization and knowledge transfer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the Solution Architect to translate approved solution architecture and technical designs into working application and integration components
• Develop and configure solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Power Platform and Microsoft Dataverse
• Build and maintain Azure-based integrations REST APIs middleware components and supporting cloud services
• Develop integrations between Dynamics 365/Dataverse and internal and external enterprise systems
• Design and configure Dataverse tables/entities relationships business rules and application components
• Develop and configure workflows forms business processes automation and other application functionality
• Build data migration transformation mapping and synchronization processes across source and target systems
• Develop and support ETL and data integration processes including data validation transformation and reconciliation
• Implement authentication authorization and access-control requirements using Microsoft Entra ID and appropriate Azure security capabilities
• Troubleshoot Dynamics 365 Dataverse Azure API application data and integration issues
• Participate in technical design reviews code reviews and solution walkthroughs
• Support QA teams during integration system and end-to-end testing
• Investigate and resolve technical defects identified through testing including application integration and data-related issues
• Support application deployment release activities and production stabilization
• Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures and application component issues during implementation and post-deployment
• Follow established development security source-control and release-management practices
• Produce clear technical documentation covering developed components integrations APIs data flows configuration and deployment requirements
• Provide technical knowledge transfer to client development support and operations teams
• Collaborate with architects business analysts QA infrastructure security and other delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle

QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• 5 years of hands-on application development experience ideally within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Power Platform and Azure environments
• Strong hands-on development and configuration experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Dataverse
• Strong understanding of Dataverse data modelling including tables/entities relationships business rules and security
• Experience developing cloud-based components and integration services using Microsoft Azure
• Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise applications using APIs middleware and integration services
• Experience integrating Dynamics 365 and Dataverse with internal and external systems
• Hands-on experience with ETL data integration data mapping transformation migration and synchronization
• Experience developing and configuring workflows forms business processes automation and other Dynamics 365 application functionality
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID authentication authorization identity management and access-control concepts
• Experience troubleshooting complex application API data and system integration issues
• Experience supporting integration testing system testing deployment and production stabilization
• Understanding of software development lifecycle source control release management and deployment practices
• Ability to interpret solution architecture and technical designs and translate them into high-quality working technical components
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively under the technical direction of a Solution Architect while independently owning assigned development deliverables
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues across application data and integration layers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear technical and support documentation
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including architecture business analysis QA security infrastructure and application support

NICE TO HAVE

• Government or public-sector application development experience
• Experience delivering Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions within complex enterprise environments
• Experience with Azure Integration Services such as Azure Functions Logic Apps API Management and Service Bus
• Experience with Power Automate and model-driven Power Apps
• Experience with Dynamics 365 custom development using C# .NET and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience developing Dynamics 365/Dataverse plugins custom APIs or other platform extensions
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub for source control CI/CD and release management
• Experience implementing secure integrations using OAuth 2.0 managed identities or Microsoft Entra ID application registrations
• Experience with large-scale data migration and synchronization initiatives
• Familiarity with Azure monitoring logging and application troubleshooting capabilities
• Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 Power Platform and/or Azure such as PL-400 PL-600 AZ-204 or AZ-305
