Role Summary:
The Driver Coordinator (Days) is the main point of contact between the backbone of the transportation industry (our AZ Drivers) and the organization. This role is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments (i.e. Customer Service Breakdown Customs) are aware of any updates.

Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm 7:30am

Key Accountabilities:
In this role you will:
  • Participating in and supporting driver retention initiatives
  • Maintaining fair and equitable distribution of work
  • Communicating dispatch information as required
  • Monitoring driver performance/miles and reefer requirements
  • Monitoring and responding to driver satellite messages
  • Assisting with the development of the required driver skills i.e.: Customs Hazmat Hours of Service Policy Regulations Satellites etc.
  • Assisting with solutions regarding any driver concerns
  • Assisting with driver inquiries - payroll miles etc.
  • Updating customer websites relative to the position/shift
  • Communicating and problem solving with customers as required

  • Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
Were looking for someone who brings:
Education & Experience:
  • Secondary School Diploma is required
  • Knowledge of truckload dispatch an asset
  • ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset
  • TMWexperience an asset
Skills & Attributes:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communications skills(written and verbal)
  • Strong self-discipline and initiative
  • Creative and effectiveproblem-solvingability
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
