Job Summary
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Claims Management:Manage full-cycle short-term and long-term disability claims facilitating the application process by working closely with employees and direct managers to explain the process and gather assessment information.
Return-to-Work Coordination:Partner with external vendors to determine appropriate return-to-work goals coordinate return-to-work meetings and actively support the planning process between employees and supervisors (intervening when necessary).
Training & Development:Develop and implement disability management training sessions for the organization.
Trend Analysis & Reporting:Prepare detailed statistical trend analysis develop regional injury/trend reports and expedite monthly reports using graphs and charts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner directly with vendors operations teams HR and stakeholders to focus on early and safe return to work accommodations and modified duties.
What Were Looking For
Experience:23 years of experience in an HR function with exposure to disability management.
Education:College Diploma or University Degree specializing in Human Resources with an interest in Disability Management.
Technical Skills:Proficiency with MS Office Suite particularly Word Excel and Outlook.
Soft Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization; strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy; self-starting proactive and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:Comprehensive knowledge of disability management Occupational Health and Safety legislation and the Employment Standards Act.
