Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit including GO Expansion Light Rail Transit routes and major expansions to Torontos subway system to get people where they need to go better faster and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.

We are seeking a Director Systems to join our Rapid Transit Operations department!
What will I be doing
- Provide strategic technical oversight across in-service and in-flight Rapid Transit projects from design through commissioning and operations.
- Lead technical change management including scope development technical reviews variations and No-Objection decisions.
- Lead Systems Working Groups and coordinate changes across ATS S&TCS SCADA I&IT cybersecurity and other operational systems.
- Assess technical changes for system integration operational safety maintainability configuration and lifecycle impacts.
- Provide technical leadership for system-performance improvements investigations root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex technical and interface issues.
- Lead the development and governance of Rapid Transit technical standards design requirements and lessons learned.
- Apply operating-line experience to in-flight and future projects and escalate significant technical risks deficiencies and departures from requirements.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need
- Completion of a degree in Engineering/Architecture or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrated years of progressive experience in capital project management and implementation including at least five years of experience managing large complex multi-year transit projects
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (.) in the Province of Ontario or Architect (O.A.A) in the Province of Ontario is an asset
- A valid Class G drivers license is required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is strongly desired
