Director of Operations
Job Summary
What Youll Do
As Director of Operations you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership across multiple accounts and operational teams. You will be responsible for ensuring all sites meet contractual obligations financial targets and service standards while building strong long-term client partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple client sites or contracts
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality building automation controls systems
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers
- Monitor operational performance and ensure all KPIs SLAs and contract requirements are met
- Oversee financial performance including budgeting forecasting and cost control
- Review monthly and weekly financial and operational reports to drive accountability and improvements
- Support Area Managers Account Managers and site leadership teams through coaching and development
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency service delivery and profitability
- Manage workforce planning staffing models and subcontractor/vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with safety standards company policies and regulatory requirements
- Partner with sales and business development teams to support growth opportunities and new contract mobilization
- Act as an escalation point for operational and client issues ensuring timely resolution
Qualifications :
What You Bring
- 7 years of progressive leadership experience in building automation controls systems within operations
- Proven experience managing multi-site or multi-account operations
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting forecasting and P&L responsibility
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading large teams including frontline staff and operational managers
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership
- Knowledge of contract management and service-level compliance
- Post-secondary education in business operations management automated controls or related field is an asset
