Position Summary
The Director Commercial Projects plays a critical role in shaping the future commercial experience at Calgary International Airport (YYC). Working closely with cross-functional airport teams this position leads the planning coordination and delivery of commercial initiatives that support revenue generation and terminal redevelopment. Acting as the key commercial representative on major airport projects the Director ensures commercial objectives are embedded into terminal planning infrastructure investments passenger flow strategies and guest experience initiatives.

The successful candidate will help shape major terminal redevelopment initiatives drive commercial growth strategies and work alongside industry leaders on projects that directly impact millions of passengers annually.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Project Leadership
Lead commercially sponsored projects initiatives and redevelopment programs across YYC.

Develop and maintain project plans schedules budgets and stakeholder communication plans.
Monitor progress identify risks and drive timely resolution of issues.
Provide project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
Serve as the primary liaison between YYC Commercial airport stakeholders and Vantage corporate teams.
Build strong relationships across Infrastructure Operations Passenger Experience Finance and external consulting partners.
Facilitate meetings workshops and project governance forums.
Ensure decisions and action items are documented and executed.

Strategic Commercial Planning
Support the development and implementation of commercial strategies policies and business initiatives.
Analyze market trends competitive developments and industry best practices.
Identify opportunities to enhance revenue passenger engagement and operational effectiveness.

Terminal Development & Commercial Integration
Represent commercial interests in terminal redevelopment infrastructure passenger experience and operational projects.
Participate in steering committees design reviews and project working groups.
Ensure commercial considerations are integrated into terminal layouts passenger flow planning concessions development and future infrastructure investments.
Evaluate project decisions against revenue objectives passenger experience goals and long-term business strategy.
Collaborate with architects designers planners and consultants to optimize commercial opportunities throughout terminal environments.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Business Engineering Architecture Construction Management Aviation Management or a related discipline.
10 years of experience leading complex projects within aviation infrastructure real estate development transportation hospitality or other customer-facing environments.
Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and navigating complex organizational environments.
Airport experience is preferred but not required.

What we Offer
The expected annual compensation for this position includes a base salary of $155000 to $175000 plus eligibility to participate in the Companys annual incentive program. Primary Work Location: On-Site at Calgary International Airport.
