Job Summary

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Providing sustained support and actively participating in quality improvement
processes and development of quality improvement plans

Achieving Resident Satisfaction and Employee Engagement targets
Managing the food service for residents with a focus on their individualized
nutritional plan of care

Working with the multidisciplinary team along with residents and families to
customize personalized menus

Ensuring food and fluid interventions (as per residents plan of care) are prepared
and served appropriately

Ensuring menu items provided meet the assessed needs of the residents
Collaborating closely with dietitians and dietary team members to ensure service
delivery is consistently compliant with organizational policies procedures and all
applicable legislation and regulatory requirements

Ensuring the team is following infection prevention and control and food
safety guidelines

ONTARIO ONLY: Completing low and moderate routine resident nutrition
assessments as delegated by the Registered Dietitian (RD)

Maintaining operation excellence within defined budget
Managing vendor and community partnerships related to the delivery of culinary
services
Hiring training and engaging a team of dietary staff to deliver quality nutrition
and culinary services in a unionized environment

Taking a hands-on approach to leading mentoring and helping the dietary team
as

Qualifications:
ONTARIO ONLY: Current membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition
Management (CSNM) or Registered Dietitian

Valid Food Safety Handlers Certificate
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant dietary experience and one (1) year of
leadership experience

Passion for food production food service and long-term care
Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector
Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
