Job Summary
SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group an international consulting and engineering group a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure privatization of a railway.

- Delivers project technical strategies while providing administrative and discipline specific support and oversight to the project Technical Management Office activities to ensure coordination of efforts and successful completion
- Executes objectives and controls activities during the development and implementation phases of project in conjunction with Managers and project teams
- Manages and contributes technical recommendations to the pre-construction process by reviewing all plans and associated documents to ensure optimal coordination of projects throughout network; develops recommendations for proposed projects consistent with strategic plan and business objectives
- Implements standards and manages critical paths/milestones by monitoring mechanisms for projects; regularly reports to Director on project status
- Manages conflicts effectively to ensure resolution is reached with minimum disruption to workflow; tracks issues and manages the investigation of potentially serious situations that could impede the overall quality and management of projects and implements corrective measures; makes contingency recommendations to minimize negative cost impacts

Education: Completion of a degree in applied science engineering or a related discipline or a combination of education training and experience deemed equivalent
Years of experience: Minimum eight (8) years project management experience related to the design and construction and assurance of heavy passenger rail transit systems in a brown field environment and related works
Technical competencies:
- Valid Professional Engineering (.) license recognized by the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) or equivalent qualification is preferred
- Knowledge of railway infrastructure and related construction projects
Personal & soft skills:
- Knowledge of access improvement initiatives and an understanding of how to drive these through to bring the desired benefits.
- Have experience of planning complex multidisciplinary construction works within operational corridors.
