Data Analyst, Power BI
Job Summary
SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group an international consulting and engineering group a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure privatization of a railway.
The ALTO project is a major infrastructure initiative in Canadian history aimed at developing over 1000 km of new passenger rail service between major urban centers including Toronto Ottawa Montreal and Quebec City.
- Manage structure analyze and standardize project data to support business and user requirements.
- Develop and automate data processes and optimize tools across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Build and maintain dashboards visualizations dataflows and semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to monitor performance and generate insights.
- Work with stakeholders to define reporting needs deliver effective solutions and support informed decision-making.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with governance security and regulatory requirements.
Education: Bachelors degree in in computer science business intelligence data analytics statistics business administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Years of experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Technical skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric including OneLake Dataflow Gen2 Data Factory and Notebooks for data ingestion storage organization transformation and orchestration of analytics workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to design maintain and optimize semantic models dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Strong command of DAX and Power Query for data modeling extraction cleansing transformation and advanced analytics.
- Solid understanding of data modeling data governance and data quality principles.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in French and English*
