Cybersecurity Student

To meet the growing demand for our product were currentlyseeking a Cybersecurity Student. Inthis position you will help protect our systems and people by monitoringsecurity alerts supporting vulnerability and patch management and completinga capstone project as part of a fixed-term placement for students in acybersecurity or related IT program.

Your ResponsibilitiesWill Include:

Monitor security alerts and logs across ourMicrosoft 365 environment and escalate suspected incidents

Support vulnerability scanning and patchmanagement through to remediation

Triage and document user-reported phishing andsecurity incidents

Assist with user access reviews and IT assetinventory upkeep

Help create security awareness content foroffice and plant employees

Complete a capstone project and present yourfindings to IT and leadership

Were Looking For:

Current student in the RRC PolytechCybersecurity program (or similar) eligible for a work placement

Foundational knowledge of networking securityoperations and Microsoft 365

CompTIA Security or Network (or in progress)scripting in PowerShell or Python and SIEM exposure are assets

Analytical skills and attention to detail

Someone who understands the value of time andthe importance of communication

Someone who is energized by growth and changewith a strong desire to help people succeed
