Job Summary

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • To assist John Crane Canada customers with all aspects of purchases and repairs of Mechanical Seals. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Interacts with customers via telephone fax and email and outside sales representatives to provide recommendations on product applications price quotations (after researching) resolve complaints problems and handle emergency calls.
  • Initiates and enters orders by interpreting customer requirements and drawings to compile bill of materials.
  • Coordinates with the Engineering Purchasing Assembly Manufacturing and Invoicing departments to discuss customer orders and requirements.
  • Responsible for complete order management to ensure delivery commitments are met and to take appropriate action in the event of a delivery delay.
  • Identifies returned materials and assists walk-in customers as required.
  • Maintains reference files of procedures products lists special pricing quotes and other relevant data.
  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Interagit avec les clients par téléphone et e-mail et avec des représentants commerciaux externes pour fournir des recommandations sur les applications des produits les devis (après recherche) résoudre les plaintes les problèmes et gérer les appels durgence.
  • Initier et entrer les commandes en interprétant les exigences du client et les dessins pour compiler la nomenclature.
  • Coordonner les services dingénierie dachat dassemblage de fabrication et de facturation pour discuter des commandes et des exigences des clients.
  • Être responsable de la gestion complète des commandes pour sassurer que les engagements de livraison sont respectés et prendre les mesures appropriées en cas de retard de livraison.
  • Identifier les matériaux retournés et aide les clients sans rendez-vous au besoin.
  • Tenir à jour des fichiers de référence des procédures des listes de produits des prix spéciaux des devis et dautres données pertinentes.
  • Effectuer dautres tâches au besoin.

Qualifications :

Education/Training: Mechanical Technologist/Technician College or High School Diploma

Experience:    3 to 5 years of customer service-related experience in a manufacturing setting 

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to read detailed drawings and utilize measuring instruments 
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to read write speak and understand French and English.

Éducation / Formation: Technologue / technicien en mécanique ou détude secondaire

Expérience: 3 à 5 ans dexpérience liée au service à la clientèle dans un environnement de fabrication

Connaissances / Compétences:

  • Capacité à lire des dessins détaillés et à utiliser des instruments de mesure
  • Doit avoir de bonnes compétences en communication écrite et verbale
  • Compétences informatiques y compris Microsoft Office
  • Doit être bilingue
