Crankshaft Salvage Technician Journeyperson

• Efficiently effectively and accurately complete all steps in the remanufacturing process for every component in a major product family (up to and including straight shafts and armatures to 78 inches in total length etc.).

• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Machinist Journeyperson ticket or interprovincial Red Seal isrequired.

• Preference given to those who fall within the value stream & qualify as defined in Schedule C.(Internal candidates)

• Multiple years working experience and competency in a crank block salvage or machine shop

• Proficiency grinding industrial crankshafts is preferred

• Proficiency operating cylindrical grinding equipment

• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions.

• Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively.

• Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds.

• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator.

• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures.

Note:

• This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday to Thursday 10 hours per day.

• Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

• Hourly Rate: $53.05 / Hour.
