Description

In accordance with the Vision Purpose and Values and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Manager or designate the Coordinator Workforce Strategy (the Coordinator) is responsible for supporting the planning and implementation of key strategic initiatives and ongoing program management and coordination for programs within the Workforce Strategy portfolio. Responsible for the execution of specific duties such as the monitoring and management of deliverables workflow and business analysis partnering with clinical operations leaders and working closely with other People teams learning education change management project delivery communications and professional practice leaders to provide coordination and support to organizational committees as required. The Coordinator will prepare detailed documents for review by internal and external interest holders and support the development of plans to meet strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience

A level of education training and experience equivalent to a degree in Health Services Administration Human Resources Business Administration or relevant health care discipline with five years of recent related experience in priority planning and implementation system analysis and the use of a formal systems delivery methodology or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Skills And Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to find collect and analyze and interpret data use basic statistical concepts and prepare written reports.
  • Experience with the use and management of large data sets.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of information management principles.
  • Ability to function in both a long-term strategic perspective and short term operational perspective. Comprehends broad implications of business decisions.
  • Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to organize workload and priorities.
