What is the Opportunity

With more than a century of experience and a full suite of integrated services Aecon is a trusted partner for delivering complex civil projects including tunnels transit expansions airports ports highways and large-scale site development.

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager this position is responsible for assisting with the deployment of Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives.

What Youll Do Here:

  • Support the implementation and sustainment of lean practices across assigned projects.
  • Assist project teams with the application of the Last Planner System (LPS).
  • Coordinate Pull Planning Lookahead Planning Weekly Work Planning and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Support constraint identification tracking and resolution processes.
  • Assist in planning and facilitating problem-solving workshops using structured methodologies.
  • Track actions arising from improvement initiatives and verify completion with action owners.
  • Support implementation of A3 problem solving PDCA Root Cause Analysis and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Coordinate lessons learned collection documentation and follow-up activities.
  • Train project support and construction personnel on Waste Walk and waste elimination methodologies and provide oversight where required.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or Business.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Continuous Improvement Construction Engineering Project Controls or Project Coordination.
  • Experience on construction or infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience supporting workshops reporting or process improvement initiatives is an asset.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Excel Word and Outlook.
  • Effective organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure work environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions including warning signs equipment use and other policies.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Valid Drivers License.

The expected pay range for this role is $60000 - $80000 per year.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors including work location education experience unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications specialized training and the complexity or scope of the role.
