The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company ensuring accurate financial reporting budgeting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will manage the accounting team help streamline business and financial process and provide strategic financial insights to the senior leadership team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills a deep understanding of financial principles and a proven ability to manage financial operations in a fast-paced may be an Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager ready to step into broader leadership or a Controller earlier in your career seeking increased ownership and decision-making responsibility. You thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and work confidently across cross-functional teams to deliver accurate reporting enhance controls and continuously improve reporting systems and this hybrid role youll spend 3 days a week working from our Scarborough office and 2 days working remotely from YOULL MAKE AN IMPACTDeveloping and maintaining financial reporting systems to drive accurate timely and efficient recording and reporting of all organizational financial transactions (in accordance with Accounting Standards for Private financial statements forecasts and budgets to support annual financial planning and performance in order to help guide organizational decision-makingDeveloping and maintaining financial models to evaluate business performance reporting and driving or supporting resulting financial analyses to understand profitability and identify areas of opportunity and/ or collaboratively with other departments to ensure that financial results align with overall organizational strategies/ goals and support development and maintenance of related cash flow and financial risks ensuring the Companys financial corporate payroll processing in collaboration with Human financial decisions by establishing monitoring and enforcing policies and organizational assets by establishing monitoring and enforcing internal compliance with all applicable laws regulations and accounting and manage deliverables and relationships with internal and external partners including financial institutions auditors/ accountants Canada Revenue Agency Statistics Canada customers and mentor and develop the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust motivation and document and oversee accounting training special projects surrounding the organizational systems and processes which drive financial the corporation by keeping financial information and plans SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVEPost-secondary education in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experienceAccounting Designation from a recognized accounting organization is preferred Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Power BIERP system experience especially for manufacturingCritical thinking and analytical skillsStrong Leadership and supervisory skills requiredStrong interpersonal and communication both written and verbalStrong negotiation and relationship building skillsStrong prioritization problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentHistorical experience developing and documenting business systems and processes is an assetDont tick every box Wed still love to hear from you!
