We are seekingaControllerwhoisaspiring to reach theirpotential totheVP FinancetheController willbe an integral part of the Business Intelligenceteamsreporting analysis and compliance.

Environment

The Controller willbe responsible foroverseeing the end-to-end process of preparing and deliveringaccuratefinancial statementsacross a multi-entity organization working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment accuracy and Controller willalso develop and enhance procedures internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

How you will make an IMPACT

• Leadthemonth endaccountingprocess oftheJ-AAR groupof companies which includesthepreparationand postingof month end journal entries reviewingprojectpercentage of completion assessing inventory adjustmentspreparation/ review of account reconciliationsoversight of intercompany reconciliationsandreviewing transactions for accuracy
• Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and completeness by reviewing transactional datavalidatingfinancial results and ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
• Act as a key financial partner to operationsprovidingexpert guidance on project accounting and other accounting guidelines ensuring consistent application of ASPE
• Partner with project managers and divisional leaders to prepare and analyze project percentage of completionand project results
• Prepare quarterlyconsolidatedfinancial statements and related compliance reporting with a high degree of precision and attention to detail
• Prepareaccurateandtimelymonthly divisional financial statements and provide variance analysis to support divisional leaders in assessing performance
• Identifyopportunitiesfor process improvement enhanced efficiencyimprovedcontrols etc. and drive those improvementstoadvance operational excellence
• Lead the year-end external audit process end-to-end ensuring audit readiness through well-organized working papersaccuratefinancial statements and disclosures and effective coordination with external auditors
• Overseethe preparation and submission of required compliance filingsand otherad-hoccompliance requestsas needed
• Work alongside the BI leadership team on various ad-hoc projects or reporting requeststo support strategic and operational initiatives
• Provide support for the ERP system implementation and related initiatives asrequired

How you WOW us

• CPA designation
• Minimum5 years professional experienceincludingpublic accounting firmexperience
• Extensive knowledge of ASPE andfamiliarity with construction industry financial practicesproject-based accounting and consolidation
• Exceptional attention to detail accuracyanddelivery ofhigh-qualitywork
• Excellentcommunication skills anddemonstratedability to work cross-functionally to deliver results
• Ability toworkin a fast-paced multi-company environment while adhering to deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
